Allison Leopold Tilley, an Emerging Growth & Venture Capital partner in Pillsbury’s Silicon Valley office, has been named one of The Recorder’s Women Leaders in Tech Law for the fifth year in a row. The publication described Tilley as a dealmaker who focuses on venture fund formation and private equity work. In 2016, she advised computer networking company Barefoot Networks as it secured $54 million in funding from a group led by Goldman Sachs Private Strategic Investments and Google. She also led a $35 venture financing deal for ACCO Semiconductor and helped semiconductor solutions provider Inphi Corp. close a $287.5 million notes offering.

In a Q&A, the publication asked Tilley what can do be done to tackle tech’s gender gap in 50 words or less.

“I don’t think you can attack such a serious issue in a mere 50 words,” she said.” To start, however, I think we have to focus on getting girls interested in STEM education and working with tech companies to make them more appealing to female job candidates”
