Nicholas M. Krohn
Mr. Krohn is an associate in the law firm's Environment, Land Use and Natural Resources practice and is located in Pillsbury's Houston office. His practice focuses on crisis liability management, emergency response and environmental enforcement, litigation and permitting matters. He also advises clients on land use and commercial litigation issues.
Prior to his legal career, Mr. Krohn proudly served as a light infantry soldier in the U.S. Army’s 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault).
Defense of MOEX Offshore 2007 LLC in multi-district litigation resulting from offshore oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Client reached settlement with co-defendant and resolved Federal civil penalty claims by Consent Decree. Completed land acquisition Supplemental Environmental Projects, as required by the Consent Decree.
Coordinated a foreign conglomerate’s internal investigation and integrated response to sensitive military, legal and political issues that jeopardized a multi-billion dollar bond deal.
Represented TransCanada in connection with Endangered Species Act permits, including implementation of off-site mitigation in coordination with the Fish and Wildlife Service.
Defense of Canadian mining company in CERCLA suit alleging liability related to historical discharges.
