Mr. Pearse is counsel in Pillsbury’s Corporate & Securities group. He has wide experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity, capital markets, finance, joint ventures and investment funds. He has completed secondments at BBC Worldwide, where in particular he assisted with asset disposals and joint ventures, and at an activist investment advisory fund advising on fund administration, fund structuring and acquisitions.

Mr. Pearse has advised clients both domestically and internationally on corporate and securities transactions in a wide range of sectors including financial services, technology, energy, aerospace, insurance, sport and media. In the financial services sector, Mr. Pearse has advised a listed company operating in the annuity and equity release areas of the retirement financial services sector and private equity houses on the acquisitions and disposals of retail investment services. In the energy sector, Mr. Pearse has advised a major integrated power and gas company on general corporate advice and also advised a strategic investment fund on its investments in the energy generation sector in eastern Europe. His experience of the technology and aerospace sectors includes advising a pan-European business telecommunications provider on major corporate refinancing, the acquisition of a peer review website business by a UK private equity house and advising a US private equity house on the acquisitions of companies which manufacture highly specified components for the aerospace industry. He has also advised clients on the acquisition and disposal of corporate groups in the automotive, industrial applications manufacturing and pharmaceutical sectors.
