Teresa Lewi is a Litigation associate in the law firm’s New York office, with a particular focus on commercial insurance recovery and employment litigation. Her litigation experience encompasses the discovery, motion practice, settlement, and appeal stages. Ms. Lewi has also successfully argued before New York state trial and appellate courts on contested motions and appeals.
Ms. Lewi represents commercial policyholders in high-profile property damage and business interruption claims arising out of natural disasters, particularly Superstorm Sandy. She has also presented as a panelist for a workshop on property insurance recovery strategies for New York business owners and non-profits.
While in law school, Ms. Lewi was the Executive Editor of the Cornell Law Review and a teaching assistant for a legal writing course. She also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Alexander Williams Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.
