Mr. Walsh is a counsel in Pillsbury's Energy Group and works on a variety of nuclear energy issues, involving litigation, regulatory, and transactional matters. Those matters have included litigation and other legal matters under the Atomic Energy Act and implementing regulations; the National Environmental Policy Act; whistleblower litigation under the Energy Reorganization Act; and the Freedom of Information Act.

Before the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Mr. Walsh has counseled clients on nuclear power reactor license renewals; nuclear power reactor early site permitting; nuclear power reactor combined license applications; the proposed high-level waste repository at Yucca Mountain, Nevada; and Nuclear Regulatory Commission enforcement actions, including investigations and alternative dispute resolution.

Mr. Walsh also counsels international clients on nuclear-related matters, including nuclear liability and indemnity issues, and agreements to construct and operate new nuclear plants.

He is also involved in the firm's pro bono programs and is co-chair of the associate members of the firm’s Attorney Development Committee.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Walsh worked extensively on nuclear energy issues as a legislative assistant for the Nuclear Energy Institute, the Washington, DC-based policy organization representing the nuclear energy and technologies industry.
