Pillsbury’s Global Sourcing & Technology Transactions team is a leader in helping businesses across industries leverage outsourced ADM to generate opportunities for balancing cost, quality and productivity. In many instances, we have been able to create a competitive advantage for clients by enabling them to access a level and volume of skilled resources that can only be found by utilizing specialty service providers. Our team has advised and assisted clients in establishing ADM service provider arrangements ranging from small, narrowly focused applications agreements to some of the largest ADM deals ever completed.

Drawing on our extensive experience in structuring and negotiating ADM outsourcing transactions, we craft contracts and utilize pricing methods, performance metrics and supplier management tools that help clients preempt challenges such as staﬀ turnover, time zone diﬀerences, and the impacts of language and culture on communication.

Representative Experience

Advised the City of Minneapolis regarding large-scale potential outsourcing of all major infrastructure and application support functions, developed delivery and sourcing strategies, and handled RFP preparation and competitive procurement down-selection process.
Handled renegotiation of an applications licensing, development and maintenance agreement for a claims processing solution with HP Enterprise Services LLC (HP).
Represented a health insurance company in a ﬁve-year, approximately $160 million outsourcing of the company’s IT infrastructure and application development and maintenance services to HP.

Advised a managed cloud computing company in connection with an RFP for outsourcing IT operations and production support for applications and infrastructure, monitoring level 1 and level 2 support for in-scope applications, development and testing. The services sought by the client included both managed services and staff augmentation services.
