Statistics show that Black-owned startups receive only 1 percent of venture funding. The Pillsbury BOSS Lab will focus on increasing this percentage by partnering with Black founders to support their businesses and provide access to the additional tools, knowledge and networks necessary to secure funding and position their companies for long-term success. In the BOSS Lab’s first year, the firm will provide up to $2 million in volunteer legal and advisory services to as many as 50 Black-owned startups.
