On Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman’s Washington DC office, David Livdahl, partner at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP and Steven Basart, Director China for Kellen, both long-term residents of China with in-depth experience consulting and advising associations in China, will join live via video-stream from Beijing to provide an update on the state of affairs in Greater China, following the newly passed Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) law.
This event serves to provide a high-level assessment of China’s foreign NGO Law, as well as a practical overview of the impact on association activities within China. In addition to sharing guidance on what areas of activities may raise concern or require future transition, this event also aims to equip attendees with an understanding of the legal and political context of the law, and a perspective on China’s association reform.
This event is aimed at senior association executives (CEO, VP, GC or director) of global associations with activities in Mainland China, or plans to develop such activities.
