Los Angeles—Pillsbury today announced that Melissa Ertek has joined the firm as Director of Client Service Programs. Ertek is a senior-level client service professional who will work shoulder-to-shoulder with firm leadership and partners to take client service to the next level as part of Pillsbury's Superior Client Service Initiative which launched in late 2009.

"Though we have long been a client-focused firm, providing good client service is no longer 'good enough'—Pillsbury must deliver exceptional client service every day at all levels and throughout the firm. With a clear recognition that Pillsbury must do more to help our clients be successful in an evolving economy, we have created this new position," said Pillsbury Firm Chair Jim Rishwain. "Melissa's primary focus will be on executing our client service platform, driving measurable results in terms of delivering added value, enhancing our platform to help our clients meet their objectives and strengthening client relationships through direct engagement to address and resolve client concerns before they become a problem. Melissa is exceptionally experienced and qualified to help Pillsbury in its client focus with more than ten years' experience in client outreach and development, business management and competitive analysis."

Previously Howrey's Director of Strategic Client Programs from 2007-2011, Ertek also worked as a Business Analyst at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips and the Grubb & Ellis Company.  She holds an MBA from Loyola Marymount University, and currently serves as the President of the Legal Marketing Association's Los Angeles Chapter. Though Ertek will be based in Pillsbury's Los Angeles office, this is a firmwide post, which reports directly to the Firm Chair. Ertek will also join and work collaboratively with the firmwide Directors of Business Development, Communications, Public Relations and Special Projects to ensure all marketing initiatives are fully integrated and strategically advance Pillsbury's short and long-term growth objectives as established by Firm leadership.
