    Bob Burlingame is a member of the law firm's Intellectual Property practice and is located in the San Francisco office. His practice covers all facets of trademark protection and practice (including policing, litigation, counseling, clearance, prosecution and registration, licensing and due diligence), as well as Internet, copyright and complex transactional matters, for clients in all industries.

    Mr. Burlingame regularly counsels and assists clients in regard to protecting their intellectual property rights, particularly trademarks and copyrights, in the U.S. and abroad. He handles IP oppositions, litigation, cease-and-desist letters and negotiations on a daily basis. He also has substantial experience in complex transactions, including consulting agreements, distribution agreements, product and services supply agreements, nondisclosure and confidentiality agreements, asset and stock purchase agreements, assignments, copyright releases, privacy policies, website Terms of Use, domain name transfer agreements, software and technology licenses, intellectual property rights agreements and settlements, and joint venture agreements.

    Mr. Burlingame directs his services to the full spectrum of companies, from startups and sole proprietorships to Fortune 500 companies and multinational corporations. His expertise also spans a broad range of industries, with extensive and internationally-recognized experience in areas such as alcoholic beverages, hedge funds and investment managers, software and mobile apps, 3D printing, radio and other mass media, cybersecurity, aerospace and defense, real estate, and retail services.

    Mr. Burlingame is a frequent speaker and author on intellectual property issues and has led numerous workshops and presentations for a wide array of organizations, including Thomson Reuters, Practising Law Institute (PLI), Continuing Education of the Bar (CEB), CLE International, the International Trademark Association (INTA), UC Davis Extension, and the International Wine Law Association (AIDV).

    Mr. Burlingame also brings to his intellectual property and transactional practice a background in corporate law and civil litigation.
