Companies with interests and operations in China need highly proficient legal counsel who can reconcile Western and Chinese legal concepts and communicate effectively in Chinese and English. Pillsbury’s China Team members are fluent in English and Mandarin, and help companies navigate the complex and ever-changing global business environment and regulatory landscape. Led by Dr. Jack Ko, who holds a J.D. and a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Pillsbury’s Shanghai office represents clients in cross-border litigation and provides strategic IP counseling and regulatory advice related to international trade, export controls, sanctions, and CFIUS reviews. Our Shanghai office works closely with Pillsbury’s China Team members in our U.S., Tokyo, and London offices to service our global clients.

The Shanghai office, established in 2006, is one of Pillsbury’s five offices in Asia, along with Tokyo (2005), Beijing (2014), Hong Kong (2016), and Taipei (2018).
