Christian A. Salaman
|
Mr. Salaman's practice focuses on the buying, selling and financing of businesses, as well as governance issues, operational matters and strategic relationships.
Many of his clients are start-up and emerging growth companies that require counsel for a broad range of matters, including mergers, acquisitions and dispositions, public and private securities offerings, venture capital financings, joint ventures, collaborations and technology licenses. Mr. Salaman acts as general corporate counsel for some of these clients, serving as their liaison to other Pillsbury attorneys and as a trusted business advisor. This often allows him to participate during all stages of a company's life cycle—from early financings through revenue-building relationships and successful exits.
Mr. Salaman's clients also include owners and operators of hotels and resorts, as well as lenders, asset managers, receivers and others in the hospitality industry. He negotiates management agreements, franchise agreements, condominium marketing agreements and technical services agreements for these types of projects across the world. In addition, Mr. Salaman counsels these clients on acquisitions and dispositions of properties, portfolios and companies, as well as joint ventures and financings. He co-leads Pillsbury’s Travel, Leisure & Hospitality industry team and is involved in most of the firm's hotel and resort projects.
