Emily Erlingsson is a counsel in the law firm's Political Law practice and is located in the San Francisco office. Her practice focuses on the laws regulating campaign finance, lobbying, ethics, pay-to-play, and conflicts of interest nationwide. Ms. Erlingsson provides compliance advice to corporations, political committees, high net worth individuals, trade associations, and candidates on compliance with federal, state and local political laws. She assists clients with the development and administration of comprehensive political law compliance programs at the federal, state and local level. In addition to providing compliance advice, Ms. Erlingsson also assists clients with the filing of federal lobbying reports, state and local lobbying reports (in jurisdictions such as the City and County of Los Angeles) and campaign and federal PAC reports. She understands and can navigate through the complex electronic filing software systems of the various enforcement agencies. Ms. Erlingsson also helps prepare and present Minimum Continuing Legal Education (MCLE) seminars concerning compliance with political laws.
Prior to practicing law, Ms. Erlingsson was a paralegal with the firm for four years in the political law group. She worked extensively with corporations, individuals and political action committees on all aspects of compliance with federal, state and local political laws.
