Stephen Asay is an associate in the law firm’s Litigation practice and is located in the Washington, DC office. His practice includes advising clients on risk management issues and the resolution of complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on insurance coverage and construction claims. Mr. Asay has represented clients before state and federal trial courts, commercial arbitration panels, and U.S. government agencies.
Mr. Asay is actively involved in pro bono work, representing clients referred by the Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts and regularly conducting intake interviews for the Legal Aid Society.
In 2014 Mr. Asay was elected to serve as a member of the founding Executive Board of The George Washington University Lambda Law Alumni Association.
While in law school, Mr. Asay worked as a Dean’s Fellow in GW’s Legal Research and Writing Program, teaching research skills, citations, writing structure, and oral advocacy. He also served as a mentor with Lambda Law, Magister of Phi Delta Phi’s John Marshall Inn, and Vice President of Finance for the Student Bar Association.
