Amanda Freyre, a partner in Pillsbury’s New York litigation group, advises clients on all phases of litigation and arbitration, including on pre-litigation strategies to navigate potential disputes and, when needed, protecting clients’ interests in high-stakes litigation and arbitration.
Her clients include entrepreneurs, executives of emerging growth companies, and in-house counsel at global companies in the technology, financial services, aerospace and manufacturing industries.
With over a decade of experience litigating matters from inception to final resolution, Amanda’s priority is working closely with clients to spot issues early and resolve problems before they reach the courtroom. - Successfully defended financial services consortium in connection with $30 million claim asserted against it, from inception of matter to final arbitration hearing, including direct and cross examination of key fact witnesses.
- Negotiated a favorable settlement for a New York-based venture capital firm, achieving resolution prior to discovery.
- Obtained temporary restraining orders and preliminary injunctions to enforce contractual terms on behalf of multiple clients.

- Defended fintech company in connection with lawsuit filed by a multibillion-dollar financial institution in connection with a breach of contract and antitrust matter, including defending and taking depositions of several C-suite executives, leading to a favorable resolution for the client.
- Defended several financial advisory services firms in connection with of breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty claims, resulting in dismissal of claims at preliminary stages of litigation.
- Represented a residential mortgage-backed securities trustee in litigation involving $900 million in disputed mortgage insurance claims, resulting in favorable settlement for the client.
