Amos Yoo advises on debt and equity financings, M&A, and other strategic commercial transactions, with special focus on the energy and infrastructure, real estate and technology sectors.

Amos represents borrowers and financial institutions on a variety of cross border transactions, including project financing, secured and unsecured commercial loans and asset-backed financing. He has international experience in the energy industry across multiple sectors, including renewable energy and energy storage, oil and gas and conventional power generation.

  • Advised Korean ECAs and commercial lenders on financing of an EV battery plant in Indonesia for a JV consisting of LG Energy Solution, Kia, Hyundai Motors and Hyundai Mobis.
  • Advised Korean ECA and JP Morgan on financing of a manufacturing facility for Dongjin Semichem in the United States.
  • Advised Japanese sponsors (Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsubishi Heavy Industry and Mitsubishi Gas Corporation) in relation to financing of a Methanol and DME plant project in Trinidad and Tobago by JBIC and BTMU as lenders.

    • Advised lenders (Barclays, Citi, DBS, SMBC, Mizuho, SCB and Shinsei) on refinancing transaction involving notes issuance (US$2.1 billion) and debt financing (US$750 million) with respect to coal-fired power plant in Indonesia (Paiton).
    • Advised Nomura Singapore Limited in relation to US$50 million loan facility for the working capital of mining company with copper and gold mine projects in Indonesia.
    • Advised SK ecoplant Co. Ltd. on an acquisition of TES, a Singapore based e-waste processing company.
    • Advised SK E&S Co. Ltd. on a merger deal with a U.S. battery energy storage system developer and operator, Key Capture Energy.
