Arielle Murphy’s practice involves drafting and negotiating construction, consulting, design, development, installation, engineering, procurement and construction (EPC), and other construction-related agreements for a wide range of public and private projects, including office, residential, hospitality, educational, sports and entertainment, civic and other mixed-use projects. Her experience also includes work on complex, large-scale data center, industrial and manufacturing projects.
Arielle counsels owners, developers and contractors on project delivery structures, risk allocation, insurance, procurement strategy and other issues arising throughout the project lifecycle. She works closely with clients’ business and technical teams and outside consultants to navigate complex commercial and technical issues and develop practical solutions aligned with each client’s objectives.
Representative Experience
- Assisted a major local developer in drafting and negotiating design and construction contracts worth over a billion dollars for office, residential and hotel buildings in the metropolitan DC area, including a 31-story, two-tower mixed-use project in Arlington, Virginia.
- Represented a developer in drafting and negotiating design and construction contracts with an aggregate value in the hundreds of millions of dollars for a large-scale waterfront mixed-use redevelopment involving extensive infrastructure improvements and more than one million square feet of vertical construction.
- Part of a team representing an international steel manufacturer in connection with the development of an approximately $6 billion steel production facility, including work on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) agreements, outsourcing arrangements and project development and incentive agreements with governmental entities.
