Branden Lau advises public and private companies, private equity sponsors, investment banks, and REITs across a wide range of industries, including sports, media, entertainment, telecommunications, consumer products, real estate and energy. He advises clients through all phases of a transaction, including drafting transaction documents, conducting due diligence to ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual obligations, and preparing SEC filings.

Prior to joining Pillsbury, Branden was an associate at the New York office of another international law firm.

  • Advised Algonquin Power & Utilities in the $2.5 billion sale of its renewable energy business to LS Power.
  • Advised LIV Golf in its formation, development and all general corporate matters related to league operations, including preparation and negotiation of league and team governance documents, league sponsorship and licensing agreements and player contracts.
  • Advised the New York Islanders NHL team in their development of UBS Arena at Belmont Park, a $1.5 billion project, and related corporate and real estate matters.
