Cara MacDonald advises clients on a wide variety of commercial transactions and regulatory compliance matters, with a focus on serving clients in the real estate, construction and renewable energy industries.

As a member of the Real Estate Group, Cara regularly assists institutional investors, developers, publicly traded U.S. companies, major pensions funds and other owners and operators of commercial real estate in a variety of complex commercial real estate matters, including development, acquisition, joint ventures, leasing, financing and disposition of office, renewable energy real estate development, industrial, retail, multifamily residential and mixed-use properties throughout the United States.

Cara also regularly works with the Environmental practice group to assist clients with environmental, energy and infrastructure development projects. She has assisted private companies, publicly traded companies, and organizations in the development and maintenance of renewable energy projects, including offshore and onshore wind farms, solar farms and hydroelectric power plants. In particular, Cara has advised clients on Clean Air Act and Endangered Species Act compliance and permitting.
