She is a certified anti-money laundering specialist and is fluent in English and Spanish. Carolina is licensed to practice law in both the United States and Colombia. She has published in the field of international arbitration with works featured in Global Arbitration Review (GAR) and Lexology.

Representative Experience

  • Representing the Government of Mexico in several investor-state arbitrations arising from investment treaties.
  • Representing a Chinese tourism company in a U.S. $50 million arbitration in an ad hoc/HKIAC Rules arbitration against an investment management group.
  • Representing Foster Wheeler in annulment proceedings in an ICSID arbitration against Colombia (ICSID Case No. ARB/19/34) for violations of the United States-Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement, arising from a construction project in Colombia.
