Daniel Welch has broad finance experience touching on aircraft asset-backed securities issuances, loans and issuances secured by a variety of asset classes, financings for purchases of high value assets, international unsecured term loans and revolving credit lines, derivatives documentation, industry advocacy and project financings.

During law school, Dan exceled in studies of corporate law, secured financings and general corporate finance, and received an award for exceptional pro bono service for assisting underserved families in Philadelphia.

Representative Experience

Key member of the cross-office, multidisciplinary Pillsbury team advising Sinclair Broadcast Group and its subsidiaries in connection with Sinclair’s acquisition of a regional sports network business from The Walt Disney Company, involving an aggregate of more than $10.0 billion of debt financing. Our LevFin team represented Sinclair’s subsidiaries Diamond Sports Group, LLC and Diamond Sports Finance Company in the largest U.S. high-yield bond deal since 2016, involving a $3.05 billion senior secured piece and a $1.825 billion senior unsecured piece, as well as in a $3.95 billion secured credit facility, comprised of a $3,300 million term loan and a $650 million revolver. We simultaneously represented another Sinclair subsidiary, Sinclair Television Group, Inc., in a new senior secured credit facility consisting of a $700 million incremental term loan and a $650 million revolver, refinancing its previously existing credit facility.
