Emily Huang’s practice in the Environmental and Natural Resources group focuses on civil litigation, regulatory enforcement actions and environmental compliance matters before state and federal authorities.

Emily litigates federal and state actions involving CERCLA, RCRA, the Clean Air Act, TSCA and common law property contamination claims. She has a broad range of experience defending class action lawsuits in various areas, from toxic torts to consumer products to antitrust.

Emily also assists corporate clients with internal investigations and responding to civil and criminal investigations by state and federal agencies. Her regulatory practice includes advising clients on compliance with CERCLA/EPCRA release reporting, air emissions, recycling and hazardous waste regulations.

Prior to joining Pillsbury, Emily was a law clerk for the California Attorney General in the Civil Rights Enforcement Section and for the Criminal Division of the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California. In law school, she served as Notes Editor of the Michigan Technology Law Review and was a student attorney for the Child Welfare Appellate Clinic, where she successfully obtained a per curiam reversal of the trial court’s termination of her client’s parental rights.
