Fangwei Wang represents large international clients on litigation in the U.S., helps Chinese clients pursue assets in the U.S., and resolves commercial and investment disputes efficiently for clients.

Fangwei handles complex cross-border commercial disputes in the U.S. representing both U.S. and Chinese clients. She is based in Pillsbury’s New York office and spent two years working out of Pillsbury’s Beijing office. Fangwei has assisted several well-known international companies, financial institutions, investors and high net worth individuals with a variety of cross-border arbitration, litigation and pre-litigation matters. In addition to being a U.S. litigator, she is also experienced with the Chinese legal system. Fangwei helps Chinese clients efficiently resolve cross-border disputes in the U.S.

Representative Experience

  • Assisted in an international arbitration regarding a joint venture, obtaining an $87 million award plus 4.25% interest for an international client. This award has been confirmed in the United States and Cayman Islands. The arbitration tribunal also awarded the client a $2.2 million fee award, plus 4.25% interest.
  • Assisted in a successful fraudulent transfer action, that resulted in the claw-back of over $40 million in fraudulent transfers to satisfy the client’s existing judgment against the defendant company and an award of attorney fees against the defendants.
  • Represented a large international company in recognizing and confirming a foreign judgment in California, including successfully defeating defendants’ attempt to dismiss the case.
