Israel has advised on transactions involving asset-backed portfolios and complex aviation finance structures, as well as large-scale corporate reorganizations. His work has included advising on debt financing, capital markets transactions, fleet restructurings and distressed asset negotiations, helping clients achieve strategic and financially beneficial outcomes in high-value, multijurisdictional settings.
Representative Experience
- Represented entities managed by InterVest Capital Partners in connection with the purchase of the equity interests in the MAPS 2018-1 and MAPS 2019-1 aircraft ABS portfolio from Merx Aviation Finance Assets Ireland Limited.
 - Advising in connection with the restructuring of AerCap’s fleet of leases to Azul, achieving an estimated $1 billion in savings to Azul in bankruptcy.
 - Represented investment banks in connection with several asset-backed credit facilities to airlines and aircraft and engine lessors.
