Jessica Lee advises clients in complex commercial transactions, from public-private partnerships to multimillion-dollar construction financings.
As a member of the Real Estate group, Jessica regularly advises clients on the acquisition and disposition, development, deal structuring, financing and leasing for a wide variety of projects. Her work includes mixed-use developments, public-private partnerships, joint ventures and ground lease arrangements. Jessica combines legal and practical judgment to navigate complicated and unconventional transactions and to manage risk and translate complex legal issues into clear guidance for business teams. Her clients include a broad spectrum of players in the industry, including developers, borrowers, investors, real estate investment trusts, and commercial landlords and tenants.
Representative Experience
- Representation of developers in mixed-use projects, including in connection with the development, construction, and permanent financing and equity placement of a $2 billion waterfront project in Washington, DC.
- Representation of sponsors in joint ventures with international partners with inbound U.S. investments for construction and development projects in Washington, DC, and Raleigh, N.C.
- Acquisition of long-term ground leases from government entities and related aspects of the development and disposition of public property to private ownership.
