Jon Schreiber advises public and private clients on a variety of corporate transactions such as mergers and acquisitions and private equity investments.
Jon focuses his practice on general corporate matters. He represents public and private companies in buy-side and sell-side M&A transactions including asset and stock purchases and sales and equity financings. As part of his private equity practice, Jon represents institutional investors in negotiating investment terms in private equity funds, hedge funds and other like transactions. In addition to his corporate practice, Jon is committed to pro bono and graduated from Berkeley Law with Pro Bono Honors Distinction.

- Represented Techpoint in its $390 million take-private merger with a wholly-owned subsidiary of ASMedia Technology.
- Represented EMCORE Corporation in its merger with Velocity One.
- Represented Nikola Corporation in the sale of certain assets to Lucid Motors.

- Represented BIOLASE, Inc. in the sale of substantially all assets to MegaGen Implant Co., Ltd. through a Chapter 11 Section 363 process in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware; this deal was honored as one of the 2025 Distressed Investment Deals of the Year by Turnaround Atlas Awards and as 2025 Corporate/Strategic Deal of the Year ($10MM to $25MM) by the M&A Advisor.
- Represented Ventura Foods in its acquisition of DYMA Brands, an Atlanta-based leader in liquid portion control and bulk condiments, seasonings and dry blend mixes for the food service industry.
- Represented Everi in its $6.2 billion merger with International Game Technology PLC’s Global Gaming and PlayDigital businesses.
- Represented CalPERS in the largest secondary sale transaction ever, which was a divestiture of $6 billion in private equity stakes from the fund’s $450 billion private equity portfolio, and in its commitment of $1 billion to put toward the next generation of emerging managers in the private markets.
- Represented Ventura Foods in its sale of Marie’s® and Dean’s Dip® to West Madison Foods—a newly-formed portfolio company of the flagship fund of private equity firm Brynwood Partners; this deal was honored as the 2024 USA Food & Beverage Deal of the Year by USA M&A Atlas Awards.
