Luke Wochensky is a Russia-qualified barrister who represents multinational companies in cross-border disputes and provides commercially sensitive, practical counsel to clients operating in high-risk jurisdictions.

A U.S. citizen who worked in Russia for over 10 years, Luke has extensive experience representing U.S. and multinational corporations operating in Eastern Europe and other global markets to manage risk, compliance and integrity issues, particularly those involving sanctions and corporate crime.

Luke provides counsel on a variety of disputes, including litigation, arbitration proceedings and internal and government investigations. He has led business, legal and organizational audits involving financial and anti-money laundering compliance, as well as in connection with allegations of corruption and commercial bribery.

  • Prior to joining Pillsbury, Luke was a partner and director of an international law firm’s Moscow office, where he founded and led the firm’s corporate crime and investigations practice in Russia.
  • Supervised and led an international law firm’s dispute resolution practice in Moscow, where he devised and implemented multijurisdictional dispute resolution plans and negotiated settlements.
  • Previously served as chair of the Legal Investment Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Russia (2016 – 2018).
