Michael offers industry knowledge in increasingly relevant areas of concern for clients, including cybersecurity and AI. Prior to entering the legal field, Michael worked as an Associate in the Digital Forensics Practice at a global consulting firm specializing in litigation, regulatory, financial and management consulting. He performed digital forensics and incident response for cases of ransomware, financial fraud, intellectual property theft, data privacy violations and email compromise. Michael's past experience drafting and conducting research for expert witness testimony and investigative reports plays a pivotal role as he supports IP litigation discovery efforts. His deep understanding of underlying technologies in these cutting-edge and continually advancing industries allows Michael to strategically prepare effective defensive arguments and provide practical risk-based advisement for clients in both IP prosecution and dispute matters.
Representative Experience
- Assisted in preparation and filing of an amicus brief with the Supreme Court of the United States on behalf of the IP Section of the Bar Association of the District of Columbia (BADC) to address a critical question: Should the USPTO be subject to notice-and-comment rulemaking procedures?
- Coordinated and drafted offensive discovery in IP litigation proceedings on a pro-bono basis for a global non-profit organization dedicated to providing education and information exchange on global radioactive waste management.
