Monica Parra is an associate in Pillsbury’s Los Angeles office, and focuses her practice on general and complex litigation.

Monica has experience in all aspects of research, discovery and motion practice. She represents clients in California state and federal courts on a variety of matters including contract disputes and insurance recovery. Previously, Monica completed a 50-state survey about online gambling law and worked on a $2.4 million Series seed term sheet for a WebVR startup.

Representative Experience

  • Represented a bank syndicate in a complex lender-liability matter with damages of one billion dollars; testing the boundaries of lost profit damages claims against lending institutions for their alleged breach of a credit facility and refusal to lend.
  • Prevailed on summary issue adjudication motions for various clients including FedEx and Banc of California.
  • Obtained a favorable arbitration award for private investment firm on various claims including breach of contract and wrongful termination.
