Peter O’Hare advises leading aircraft leasing companies, financial institutions and airlines on complex cross-border aviation finance transactions, including aircraft and engine trades, leases, financings, structured debt, and portfolio transactions. Known for combining technical precision with strong commercial acumen, Pete has led numerous innovative deals involving non-U.S. EETC, ABS, M&A, and large portfolio and warehouse financing transactions. His experience spans the full lifecycle of aviation transactions from origination and structuring to restructuring, work-outs, and repossessions.
Representative Experience
- Advised a leading aircraft lease arranger on multiple Japanese operating lease (“JOL”) financings involving Société Générale, CACIB, Natixis and other major lenders, covering aircraft leased to various airlines including Iberia, Wizz Air, flydubai and Frontier.
- Represented a leading aircraft leasing company on the sale and leaseback of eight Airbus A320NEO aircraft with IndiGo and various portfolio sales of leased aircraft to major global lessors.
- Acted for a leading helicopter lessor on a master secured term facility provided by Bank of America and unsecured term and revolving facilities provided by other major lenders.
