Robert Robbins, former practice section leader of Pillsbury’s Corporate practice, is recognized as a leader in structuring and closing complex mergers and acquisitions and restructurings, and in advising corporate boards.

Bob advises on securities offerings, restructurings, reorganizations and recapitalizations in addition to providing M&A counsel. His clients include major financial institutions, professional services firms, real estate companies, investment management and private investment funds, joint ventures, boards of directors and committees of independent directors. Bob led the Pillsbury team that represented Gmarket, the largest internet auction site in Korea, in its $1.2 billion acquisition by eBay—a transaction Asian-MENA Counsel named among its “Deals of the Year.”

  • Crafted an innovative restructuring and recapitalization solution for Berger Group Holdings Inc. involving a first-of-its-kind reciprocal investment program that generated $465 million in new capital through debt and equity investment.
  • Represented a publicly traded real estate company in responding to a proxy contest led by a shareholder activist.
  • Advised a foreign investor regarding an Israeli defense contractor’s equity and debt recapitalization.
