Ryan Steinbrunner advises clients in complex commercial litigation matters, including the sale of securities, consumer transactions and construction disputes.

Ryan represents a wide range of clients on litigation disputes. He has successfully tried complex commercial litigation cases as both first and second chair as both Plaintiff and Defendant in matters that involve securities and common law fraud; partnership disputes including breach of fiduciary duty; shareholder class actions; misappropriation of trade secrets; breach of contract; and violation of relevant consumer laws, including the DTPA. His work includes matters before state trial courts and arbitral panels.

  • As first chair, won half-million-dollar jury verdict and recovered attorney’s fees in a case alleging fraud, misappropriation of trade secrets and breach of contract.
  • As lead counsel, obtained favorable settlement for several families suing life insurance companies for fraud and violation of Autism Mandate in connection with denial of benefits for autism-related therapies.
  • As second chair, obtained multimillion-dollar result in lawsuit representing plaintiff investor class who had been defrauded in nationwide commercial real estate investment scheme.

  • Practiced in many other areas of complex commercial litigation that include claims for: professional negligence, negligent misrepresentation, legal malpractice, conversion, and insurance bad faith.
  • Taken and defended over 100 depositions including expert depositions and party depositions.
  • Successfully argued numerous dispositive motions, including motions for summary judgment (no evidence and traditional), pleas to the jurisdiction, motions to dismiss (state court and federal court), and forum non-conveniens.
