Steve Brenner is an associate in the firm’s Environmental practice and is based in the Washington, DC, office.
Steve focuses his practice on environmental law and natural resources. He advises clients on complex environmental litigation matters as well as regulatory and compliance counseling. His practice focuses on all aspects of environmental law, including on issues arising under the Clean Air Act (CAA), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Clean Water Act (CWA) and Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA).
Steve also brings an extensive knowledge of the federal appropriations process. Prior to Pillsbury, Steve served as a legislative assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives in the office of Congresswoman Nita Lowey (NY-17), the first woman to chair the powerful House Appropriations Committee. Steve advised the Congresswoman on various environment, energy and transportation issues.

While in law school, Steve served as a judicial intern for the Superior Court of the District of Columbia for the Hon. Deborah Israel.
