Tom Coates advises financial institutions, aircraft leasing companies and airlines on a broad spectrum of structured finance arrangements, leasing structures, secured lending and financing transactions.

Tom has advised on a variety of transactions, including complex cross-border aircraft portfolio purchases, secured multi-aircraft loan facilities, aircraft lease negotiations with major operators and new-aircraft deliveries involving assets located and operated globally. Tom’s broader practice includes advising on helicopter financings, aircraft engine portfolio sales and leasing, sale-and-leasebacks and export credit-agency-backed financings.

Prior to Pillsbury, Tom worked at an international law firm in London.
