The Annual Meeting of the California Tax Bar and California Tax Policy Conference will be taking place in San Diego and features an agenda of 33 educational courses and numerous networking opportunities.

Carley is partnering with Wendy Vierra (CDTFA), William Hilson, Jr. (FTB) and Saba Shatara (Deloitte) to present on the topic, “Litigation Update” on November 4. The panelists will cover key cases in California tax litigation, and important cases outside of the state that should be on your radar.

Jeff is joining Laurie McElhatton (FTB), Matt Cappel (FTB), and Lindsay LaCava (Baker McKenzie) to present on the topic, “Trends in Corporate Income Tax” on November 4. The panelists in this session will discuss the national shift from multifactor apportionment schemes with cost of performance, to single sales factor with market-based sourcing. They will also discuss the impact of this shift on everything from nexus to Public Law 86-272.
