The Asian Lawyer has revealed the finalists for its 2018 Asia Legal Awards, and Pillsbury is pleased to announce that the firm has been shortlisted in four categories. In addition to being named a finalist for Aviation Firm of the Year and New Asian Office of the Year (Hong Kong), Pillsbury’s work on two cross-border corporate transactions has been acknowledged. Toshiba Corp.’s $18 billion sale of its memory chip business to a consortium of investors, including Pillsbury client Hoya Corp., is a finalist for M&A Deal of the Year: North Asia, while client Beijing Shanhai Capital’s $500 million acquisition of semiconductor producer Analogix is a finalist for TMT Deal of the Year.

The Hong Kong team comprises U.S. and English law-qualified lawyers and staff who focus on transportation finance, private client advisory, disputes (including corporate investigations, white collar defense and U.S. regulatory enforcement matters) and technology-focused corporate and securities matters. Members of the Hong Kong team are fluent in English, Mandarin and other Chinese dialects, as well as in Farsi and Italian.

The Asia Legal Awards are intended to honor the best legal work in the region, identifying the most important transactions and cases with the most complex and outstanding legal work in Asia. Winners will be revealed at a gala dinner on March 22 at the Four Seasons Hong Kong.
