San Francisco Corporate attorney Deborah Carrillo represented Chevron Technology Ventures LLC as one of the lead investors in a capital raise for Mission Secure Inc., a cybersecurity company focused on energy, defense and transportation.

Chevron Technology Ventures, the venture capital arm of Chevron Corp., led the Series A round along, with Energy Innovation Capital. Other participants included R/GA Ventures, Macquarie Capital, Blue Bear Capital, Felton Group LLC and the University of Virginia Seed Fund.

Mission Secure said the financial capital will help it expand its team and help shield the global energy industry from cyberattacks. The funds will also be used for the company’s expansion through the energy, defense and transportation sectors. The company’s patented MSi Platform is used by many energy companies and agencies within the U.S. Department of Defense.
