Insolvency & Restructuring partner Dania Slim has been recognized as an attorney “On the Rise” by the 2023 Florida Legal Awards.

Wielding influence in their practice areas in Florida and beyond, innovation, demonstration of strong leadership qualities, establishment of expertise in litigation or transactional work and commitment to pro bono, charitable and professional volunteer work are just a few of the requirements for this particular award’s consideration.

All honorees will be recognized at a ceremony in Miami on May 17, 2023.

Slim represents both creditors and debtors and has worked on some of the largest and most complex bankruptcies, while leading Pillsbury’s diversity efforts nationwide. Most recently, she co-led the team that filed the prepackaged Chapter 11 for Rockley Photonics Holdings Limited, a publicly traded company developing wearable digital health technology.

Born in Cuba and a native Spanish-speaker, Slim also helps bridge language and cultural barriers with Pillsbury’s Latin American clients. She represented multiple constituencies in the Chapter 11 cases of Avianca, Aeromexico, LATAM, Philippine Airlines and SAS AB after the COVID-19 pandemic led to financial distress in the aviation sector.

In addition to this award, Slim was named among the top 40 emerging leaders in the industry by the American Bankruptcy Institute and was recognized as a “Rising Star” by Law360.
