Tax associate Darianne De Leon has been selected as a 2026-2027 John S. Nolan Fellow by the American Bar Association (ABA) Section of Taxation, a prestigious honor recognizing emerging leaders within the tax law community.
Named in honor of the late John (“Jack”) S. Nolan, a highly respected former chair of the ABA Section of Taxation, the fellowship is among the Section’s most distinguished leadership development programs. Each year, a select group of tax attorneys is chosen based on demonstrated commitment to the Section, meaningful contributions to its work and leadership potential.
Nolan Fellows are selected from current Tax Section members who have made significant contributions through committee, task force and other Section activities. The fellowship is designed to cultivate the next generation of tax law leaders and recognizes individuals whose dedication and service have advanced the Section’s mission.
In addition to her practice, De Leon serves in leadership roles within the ABA Section of Taxation, including as Subcommittee Chair for the Court Procedure and Practice Committee and former Co-Vice Chair of the Women in Tax Forum. She regularly speaks and moderates programs on tax controversy, ethics and professional development and is actively involved in mentoring and advancing the next generation of legal professionals.
