According to a State Department spokesperson, all emails sent or received by Bryan Pagliano during Hillary Clinton’s term as Secretary of State have disappeared. Pagliano is the staffer who set up Clinton’s controversial home computer server. He was granted immunity by the U.S. Justice Department in exchange for sharing information with the FBI about what may have been breached on that server.
On Tuesday’s radio broadcast of The Sean Hannity Show, Cybersecurity Task Force co-leader Brian Finch was asked if such a loss of State Department emails is possible.
“Certainly, there is a possibility that some of the emails were lost, but it’s difficult to believe that over a four-year period, there’s no trace of any emails … especially any relevant emails to Secretary of State Clinton's personal email set-up. So, one suspects this will turn out just as it has turned out with every other instance regarding FOIA [Freedom of Information Act] requests regarding emails. There will be a slow drip of information and suddenly items will be discovered in a few months. There will be email trails, etc., but I view this as simply the first phase of a long leak that will eventually etch the Grand Canyon of digital data. It may take an equivalent amount of time to get there—eons in political worlds,” said Finch.
