On July 30, the Los Angeles Business Journal recognized Pillsbury Managing Partner Ed Perron as one of the LA 500 – or one of the 500 most influential business leaders in the Southern California region.

In an article about the honor, the Business Journal reported that Perron advises clients on mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures, strategic investments and the distribution of products in the U.S. Clients have included Sumitomo, Imagica Robot Holdings, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Suntory, MP Biomedicals, DirecTV, In-N-Out Burger, Textron, Cessna, Xerox and Tesco.

The Business Journal added that Perron served as outside general counsel to more than 20 U.S. subsidiaries of Sanyo from 1987 until the completion of Sanyo’s acquisition by Panasonic in 2011. Perron is the past chairman and current director of the Japan America Society of Southern California.
