Vulnerabilities in multi-factor authentication (MFA) can be exploited to gain access to systems resulting in costly enforcement actions for those companies that fall victim to those attacks.
In a recent article, Pillsbury partners Mark Krotoski and Brian Montgomery and associate Johnna Purcell discuss MFA regulatory compliance and advise companies to take steps to ensure that MFA protections are in place as part of a cybersecurity ecosystem and that the type of MFA that companies use is resistant to common attack vectors such as social engineering and phishing.
