Pillsbury advised Idemitsu Apollo Renewable Corporation—one of the largest suppliers of both conventional and renewable fuels in North America—on its offtake agreements for delivery of renewable diesel fuel from Vertex Energy, Inc. The five-year product supply agreement affords Idemitsu Apollo greater access to growing regional markets in the western United States and Canada.
Under the terms of the agreement, Vertex will supply Idemitsu Apollo with all the renewable diesel (RD) output from its Mobile, Alabama, refinery. With Renewable Identification Number (RIN) certifications received from the Environmental Protection Agency, first delivery was taken in June 2023.
