The Women in Compliance Awards program has selected Pillsbury as its 2019 Global Trade & Customs Compliance Law Firm of the Year. The program acknowledges standout women leaders as well as high-performing teams that are either led or heavily composed of women. In addition to taking top honors in the Global Trade & Customs Compliance category, Pillsbury also was shortlisted for Regulatory Law Firm of the Year.
This year’s winners were announced at a special ceremony on March 28 in London.
“We’re thrilled for our team to receive this recognition,” said International Trade practice section leader Nancy Fischer. “It highlights the strength and success of our thriving international trade practice and Pillsbury’s overarching commitment to developing and elevating women to positions of leadership within the firm.”
In addition to the firm honors, Fischer was personally shortlisted for Compliance Lawyer of the Year and for the Lifetime Achievement Award for Contribution to the Compliance Community based on the globally recognized depth of her practice and her work on high-profile international trade matters, in addition to her role managing Pillsbury’s 60-lawyer Public Practices group.
The Women in Compliance Awards recognize and celebrate the achievements of female compliance professionals in industries around the world. The program honors individuals, teams and their companies for initiatives, innovations and cultures that drive a commitment to compliance within their organizations. Women in Compliance winners are determined by panels of expert judges selected from a group of 45 esteemed compliance professionals.
