The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners’ Winter Policy Summit in Washington, D.C. will convene an array of speakers from federal agencies, industry, advocacy organizations, and more. The committee meetings and general sessions will provide the latest policy updates related to utility regulation. Key resolutions will be discussed and approved by the board of directors at the conclusion of the meeting.

Jeff will present “Latest Developments in Advance Nuclear Technology” to the NARUC Committee on Electricity. His presentation will cover a brief overview of technologies for non-technical audiences, potential challenges for commercialization, and more. The presentation will begin at 2:00pm on Sunday, February 9.

Brian will participate in the “Gas and Cybersecurity – What do State Regulators Need to Know?” panel. The panel will discuss critical information that state regulators need to know in the natural gas utility space. This is a follow up from the NARUC November 2019 resolution on criticality of utilities operating in the 6 GHz spectrum band. We will explore what the next steps are, and how we all can be more engaged, as appropriate, in addressing cybersecurity issues in the natural gas space.

This joint session is co-sponsored by the Committees on Gas, Critical Infrastructure, and Telecommunications. The session will run from 4:00pm-5:00pm on February 10.
