Pillsbury New York partner Fusae Nara has been selected to Minority Corporate Counsel Association’s Diversity & The Bar’s 8th Annual Rainmakers List. The list includes attorneys from around the country who practice a wide variety of law. Nara was one of only 15 attorneys selected.

Nara represents Japanese companies in complex litigation and multiplied the business over the last decade. "When I first started, my clients liked that I was Japanese a lot, but that I was young and a woman? Not so much. Initially it was difficult for me to be taken seriously by the Japanese businessman I encountered. But after I proved myself and they overcame their initial resistance, they became and have remained very loyal. I’ve had many of the same clients my entire career."

The annual list profiles diverse lawyers who are leaders in their field and have an established record of developing business. Nara was selected from a pool of nominees recommended by leading firms across the country, and was acknowledged for her business development acumen, legal versatility and emphasis on providing superior service to her clients.
