NEW YORK—Pillsbury today announced it has selected five lawyers for promotion to partner, effective January 1, 2016. The 2016 class underscores the firm’s capabilities in insurance and intellectual property litigation, real estate transactions and emerging growth corporate representation, in addition to its leading-edge work on the regulation of disruptive technologies.

Nicole Cunningham

As a member of the Intellectual Property practice, Cunningham litigates IP disputes in district courts and before the International Trade Commission for clients in the wireless and telecommunications, mechanical, medical device and life sciences fields. She is an integral member of multiple client litigation teams and is an experienced commercial litigator who is skilled in managing multi-defendant litigation. Cunningham earned her law degree from the University of California at Los Angeles and joined Pillsbury in 2013. She is based in the San Diego office.

Alexander Hardiman

Hardiman is a member of the Litigation practice and the Insurance Recovery & Advisory team, where he represents corporate and individual policyholders in insurance coverage matters. He has successfully litigated, arbitrated and settled hundreds of complex coverage claims, including Victaulic Company’s recent high-profile $55 million win over AIG. Hardiman earned his law degree from Boston University School of Law and joined Pillsbury in 2014. He is based in the New York office.

James Lloyd

A member of the Real Estate practice, Lloyd focuses on commercial real estate and real estate finance transactions. He is a member of the Energy & Infrastructure Projects team and the REITs & Real Estate Capital Markets team. Lloyd was a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” for 2012-2015 and earned his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center in 2006. He joined Pillsbury in 2011 and is based in the Houston office.

Marco Santori

Santori is a member of the Emerging Growth & Venture Capital group, and his practice spans transactional, regulatory and litigation advice for companies in the financial services and technology industries. A thought leader on Bitcoin and its ecosystem, Santori counsels banks, financial institutions and fintech startups on the risks and rewards of distributed ledgers. He is Chairman of the Bitcoin Foundation's Regulatory Affairs Committee and Policy Counsel to Blockchain, the world’s most popular Bitcoin wallet. Santori earned his law degree from the University of Notre Dame, and he joined Pillsbury in 2014. He is based in the New York office.

Jason Stirling

A member of the Emerging Growth & Venture Capital practice group, Stirling focuses on corporate representation of technology and life sciences companies. His focus is on emerging growth companies, advising them from formation to acquisition, IPO or other liquidity event and on their financing or material commercial transactions. Stirling earned his law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law. He joined Pillsbury in 2004 and is based in the San Diego – North County office.
