Consistent with Pillsbury’s history of corporate social responsibility, the Pillsbury Foundation Board has donated $50,000 to the Houston Food Bank and Central Texas Food Bank (Austin).

The funding will provide more than 175,000 meals for members of the hard-hit Austin and Houston communities, and stands to make a material impact on the wellbeing of those currently in need.

“The severe winter storms that swept the United States last week took a particularly devastating toll on Texas,” said Edward Cavazos, Managing Partner of Pillsbury’s Austin office, and Amanda Halter, Managing Partner of the firm’s Houston office. “We hope our donation will inspire others to offer their assistance and lessen some of the hardship we are seeing throughout the region.”

Through the Pillsbury Foundation, the firm supports programs to end hunger in our local communities and matches individual donations to disaster relief and recovery efforts.
