NEW YORK – Pillsbury today announced the addition of Real Estate partner and firm alumna Caroline Harcourt in the New York office. A former associate and partner at Pillsbury (and legacy firm Winthrop, Stimson, Putnam & Roberts), Harcourt rejoins Pillsbury from the real estate lender-based practice at Kaye Scholer. Her practice focuses on the origination and sale of mortgage and mezzanine loans related to a variety of property types, including office buildings, regional malls, hotels and mixed-use projects.

“Caroline’s broad range of experience representing both developers and lenders will be a boon to our Real Estate practice, helping to broaden the services we offer clients in this space,” said Real Estate practice section leader Robert Herr. “We are very pleased to welcome her back to the firm.”

Harcourt is also well regarded for her work on high-profile New York development projects such as the Time Warner Center and NYMEX's headquarters and trading facility at Battery Park City, and has extensive experience representing developers, owners and tenants in all aspects of real estate, including site assemblages, acquisitions and dispositions, mixed-use development projects, leases and ground leases, development arrangements, easements and condominium arrangements. Her versatile practice also includes representing opportunity funds in the sale, purchase, ground leasing and financing of real estate projects.

“Caroline is considered a first-class talent in the New York real estate market, and her addition is important to our unwavering commitment to our market-leading real estate practice and our New York office,” said partner Jim Rishwain, Jr. “Her reputation precedes her, and her skills and experience will be immensely valuable to our clients.”

“I am thrilled to rejoin the New York office,” Harcourt said. “Pillsbury’s nationally recognized Real Estate practice serves some of the country’s top real estate developers and lenders and has the size and geographic reach to meet the diverse needs of the industry. I look forward to integrating my practice into this strong platform.”

Harcourt received her J.D. from Columbia University School of Law and her B.A. from Princeton University. She is a member of the WX/New York Women Executives in Real Estate, and she is admitted to practice in New York.
