As a result of Pillsbury’s dedication to the diversity and inclusion of female, ethnic, LGBTQ+ and disabled lawyers, the firm has earned the Mansfield Rule 5.0 Plus Certification, the highest level of Mansfield certification.

The Mansfield Certification Plus designation means that Pillsbury has exceeded the baseline Mansfield certification requirements by not only considering at least 30 percent diverse individuals for certain leadership positions, for partner elevation and lateral partner hiring decisions, but by actually filling more than 30 percent of key leadership roles with diverse individuals.

Next year, Pillsbury will participate in the 2022-2023 Mansfield Rule Certification 6.0 as it remains committed to enduring, institutional change.

Pillsbury brings innovation to more than just its legal work. That same pioneering vision directs the firm’s diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. It was among the first major law firms to promote women to partnership and the first large, national firm in the U.S. to elect a woman as Firm Chair. Today, Pillsbury’s commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion is evident in the composition of its firm leadership; attorneys of color, women attorneys and LGBTQ+ attorneys lead our practices and offices and serve on influential firm committees.
